The Viaduct Park Master Plan is coming to life!
We have been busy working on plans to expand and improve the Youth Recreation Hub.
In addition to the skate park installed last year and Youth Training Café soon to be constructed, Viaduct Park will soon boast a pump track for scooter enthusiasts, a half court basketball court and a rooftop dining space and alfresco dining area to complement the Youth Training Café.
The new projects will allow the Youth Recreation Hub to continue to be a dynamic multi-purpose space that has the capacity to cater for a range of different programs and opportunities. We aim to create an inclusive facility that caters for all ages and abilities.
This project has been made possible by the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, with the Tamworth region benefiting from $6 million in total to be spent improving local infrastructure. In the first phase of funding, our region was allocated $2.65 million, with a further $3.41 million received under the program’s second phase.
