Council is seeking feedback from the Community about the General Policy Register.

The Policy register will be on public exhibition for a 28-day period commencing, Wednesday 11 September 2024 and ending 5pm Thursday 10 October 2024.

Tamworth Regional Council’s General Policy Register contains policies that mandate or constrain the performance of activities used in achieving this Council’s goals.

The policies are general in nature, have broad application and help to ensure compliance with: applicable laws and regulations; contract requirements; and delegation of authority by the Council and General Manager.

Ten changes to the register have been identified in a recent review to ensure the policies remain relevant and appropriate. A report based on feedback received will then be presented to the newly elected Council for their consideration later this year
