Background Information
Council creates a yearly list of sewer mains requiring rehabilitation based on the age of the infrastructure, history of chokes, pipe material and location. CCTV is used to assess the mains and help identify which sections of the mains need repairs.
This year 6.5kms of sewer main in Tamworth and 500m in Manilla will be rehabilitated.
An insitu relining technique will be used to rehab the sewer mains reducing the impacts of works on residents. Council has engaged Pipeline Water Tech to undertake these works
With a budget of $1.25M. this project is necessary to ensure Council can continue to provide a reliable sewer network to our community.
