The water main across a 400 metre section of Queen Street in Barraba, between Cooper and Rodney streets will soon be upgraded.

The main has had a history of breaks and leaks in recent years and is being replaced before a future upgrade of the road surface.

These works will start from Tuesday (15 June, 2021) and are expected to be completed in six weeks time.

The works are budgeted to cost $220,000 and will be funded as part of the annual water main renewal and upgrade fund.
