What is happening?

A range of waste fees and charges are changing as part of Council's 2021/22 Fees and Charges.

The 2021/22 Fees and Charges document is currently on exhibition. As there are some major changes proposed to the waste fees and charges we wanted to provide residents and businesses in the Tamworth region with further information on what these changes are and why they are required.

These proposed changes include:

  • a 10% increase in resident’s waste service rate from July 1 2021; and
  • increased and decreased fees and charges for the disposal of waste at our nine waste management sites.

Each proposed change is listed below with the current price, proposed price and a reasoning of why the change is required.

Proposed Waste Service Charge Changes

All Waste Service Charges (the waste service fee you see on your rates notice) are increasing by 10% for the 2021-22 financial year.
