Everyone across the Tamworth Local Government area should enjoy the same opportunities to participate in all aspects of community life.

Tamworth Regional Council is currently developing a 2024 - 2028 Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) to identify barriers to access and inclusion within our community, and to develop and implement more inclusive policies and practices.

The DIAP will provide Council with clear direction, and a list of actions to deliver over the next four years to remove barriers to access and increase opportunities for inclusion of people with disability.

Council wants to understand what's working well across Tamworth Local Government Area, and where there are opportunities to improve the experiences for people with disability. The following survey is designed to provide an opportunity for you to have your say anonymously, to ensure you can be open and honest about your experiences.

All the information collected will assist with the creation of the Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2024-2028.

Once the draft plan is ready it will be presented to the community for feedback before adoption mid-2024.

This survey was aimed at community members, including people with disability as well as their unpaid carers. It aims to gather information about what is working well now and what needs to be improved to make the region more inclusive and accessible.

We wanted to know what you think about how we can better support people with disability.
